The quarry features a unique biolake known as the “Laghetto dei Tritoni,” surrounded by towering marble walls that create a natural amphitheater. The biolake, formed by rainwater and marble processing residues, is encircled by vertical marble walls approximately 30 meters high, creating a striking visual effect. The site is home to the Tritone Alpestre Apuano, a rare amphibian species, and the ancient Alga Chara, adding ecological interest to the location.
