DESCRIPTION

The monument is in the center of Mazzini Square (commonly known as the Academy Square), between the building of the Academy of Fine Arts and Red Palace, the original seat of the Academy and later the town hall. The work, dedicated to the father of the Italian Resurgence and democracy, was created by the sculptor Alessandro Biggi.
